There are asset management programs devoted to cataloging images, but I never quite got around to using them. Did I file it under the location or by subject? So many images could be filed under several categories, but doing so would waste disk space and if I modified one copy the others would not be synchronized. But it can be a chore to locate a specific image. I have a bank of large hard drives (with backups) where files are organized in a subject-related folder structure. The bottom line: I like what I found and it now has a place in my “dimroom” somewhat like a second enlarger. But the recent buzz got me interested and I decided to check it out again. I always thought I was in that category and had not previously used Lightroom beyond checking out the trial version when it came out in 2007. Those who work up only a few images from a shoot and do a lot of artistic manipulation may not find a compelling need for Lightroom. Then it handles slideshow presentation to a client, uploading to a web site for client review and printing.Photographers who do extensive artistic adjustments on images will still want to work in Photoshop after organizing and making initial adjustments in Lightroom, to use such things as filters, layer compositing and masking. Lightroom handles downloading, previewing, rating, organizing, keywording and RAW conversion. It is particularly suitable for photojournalists and photographers who do stock, commercial work, sports, weddings and events, for whom a fast and efficient workflow for hundreds of images from a single shoot is critical. Photoshop or Lightroom? While Photoshop has many tools for graphic art and web design, Lightroom is targeted specifically at the needs of photographers, both in workflow and image adjustments. Seeing Kluck compete in the competition was important to her family members, just like McClish said, and Amiya’s grandmother, Kim Woosley, said being there to see her compete and win was very meaningful to her. “I’d say it was a pretty great experience to have with her team and with her family too.” She had a lot of mental roadblocks to get there, so overcoming those proved how strong willed she was, how determined she is,” McClish said. ![]() McClish said Kluck’s teammates stood behind her and supported her, making the national competition even more meaningful. There’s not a lot of people in the world who can handle what she did to the level of which she handled it,” Brooks said. “It’s really important in those kinds of situations, where she could feel safe, where she could just not - she didn’t have to cry, she doesn’t have to talk to anybody about it, she can just be who she was and continue to work on her skills.”īrooks, who has been coaching Kluck for about a year now, said her resilience and resolve was impressive to see, and he is proud to be her coach and see her take home two national championships despite the heartbreaking circumstances. Kluck attended the competition with the Marshalltown gym MAT Tumbling, and Gym Owner and Coach Ron Brooks was extremely supportive and helpful before and during the competition according to McClish, especially after Kluck suffered the loss of her dad. “There’s not that many people (in Marshalltown), so it was kind of weird.” Kluck said winning felt good, but the experience was a little intimidating too. She competed in two different categories: Double-Mini, which had 45 contestants, and Rod Floor, which had 62 contestants - she took home national championships in both. This is Kluck’s fourth year as a gymnast, and while she went to nationals last year, she placed lower, which made this competition even more special. ![]() ![]() “Just being able to go and kind of pull that off for her dad meant a lot,” Amiya’s mom Brandi McClish said. I keep track of the moves and averages, and it is possible for the game to end. There really isn't any point to the game. Other differences are that the game is played on a 12 x 12 grid, and there's no sound. This has the effect of making the game last a lot longer. How you feel matters! But, how often do you even focus on how you feel? You may think about getting healthy and making more money and ways to do that, but when you don’t focus on feeling good right now, those thoughts are basically powerless. Your energy does, which is a result of your feelings and emotions. The quickest and most effective way to raise your vibration is to raise your emotions. Manifestation works through your vibrations. Use The Emotional Scale To Attract What You Want You’ll have to raise your emotions, one by one. You can’t force yourself to go from negative to positive. So how can we go from 1-10? We don’t! If you try to go from depressed to joyful without going through all of the other emotions in between, you’ll end up feeling doubftul and frustrated. How much attention do they attract? Their vibes are magnetic. Think about the happiest person at a party. You’ll notice how better life is when you become actively aware of how you feel. Write down where you think you are on the emotional scale and how you can feel better. Journaling helps you get off of autopilot and live in the present! I challenge you to spend a few minutes, a couple of times a day, journaling about how you feel. Most of the time we aren’t even aware of what we are really feeling inside. We are so busy and distracted that we don’t even care about how we feel. ![]() How To Use Your Emotions To Improve Your Life The better you feel, the more you will attract what you want in life! When you’re feeling worried or disappointed, you won’t attract what you want no matter how much time you spend thinking about it. If you find yourself feeling down, noticing that is the first step in changing! Ask yourself, what is the best feeling I can feel right now? How can you feel better? Beating yourself over that won’t make you feel any better. ![]() It’s normal to feel down and negative from time to time. These emotions attract more negativity in your life. Low emotions are: boredom, frustrated, pessimism, disappointment, doubt, worry, anger, jealousy, guilt, fear and depression. When you’re low on the emotional scale, your vibration is also low. There are many factors in manifestation, including visualization, which helps raise your emotions. Self improvement starts within, and the first place to start is your emotions. Our emotions have great power in attracting the people and things we want in life. You’re probably familiar with the phrase ‘Thoughts become things’, which is true… kind of, so we tend to focus a lot on our thoughts but what about our emotions. The first step to making a change is happening right now- you’re becoming more aware. Email me at check out the Soul Manifestation program by Manifestation Coach Patrick Wood. I want to hear your positive life changes. Try every day for 30 days and let me know how much your life has changed. Take this challenge- Make a real effort to raise yourself up on the emotional scale using the techniques below. Using affirmations for self love can quickly improve your emotional state. The key is to work your way up the scale, wherever you are, and when you’re stable in an emotion, you are ready to move up! What if you’re feeling really low on that emotional scale? You can’t go from feeling depressed to love in an instant and trying to do so without climbing up the emotional scale would likely leave you feeling stuck at discouraged or disappointed. The emotional scale according to Abraham-Hicks: But the key to improving our lives is to raise our ‘vibrations’ so we can attract what we want. And we only change that when something big happens. That’s because many of us live our life on auto-pilot and so our feelings are meh… or neutral. Most days you’re probably in the middle, am I right? Unless something really good or really bad happens. How do you feel right now? From 1-10, with 10 being relaxed and happy, and 1 being stressed out and crappy, where are you on the emotional scale? I once played the Norway scenario as allied and won a easy victory however then the allied naval force was completely destroyed.
